Ms. Rasmussen has more than twenty seven years experience in the municipal industry,
specializing in municipal zero coupon securities and taxable municipal bond trading.
She began her career in the financial industry with Channer Newman Securities as
an assistant to the capital market trading and underwriting group.
In 1981, Ms. Rasmussen transitioned to her interdealer broker career with the opening of JF Hartfield Titus & Donnelly in Chicago. At Hartfield, as one of the first broker’s brokers on the street to specialize in zero coupon municipals, she brought market expertise and market share to the firm. Ms. Rasmussen remained a leader in the zero market for over twenty years.
Ms. Rasmussen joined RW Smith in 1986 as an integral member of RW Smith’s first branch office, located in Chicago. She brought both local and national contacts, as well as sector proficiency to RW Smith, which ensured the successful expansion of RW Smith in the Midwest.
Ms. Rasmussen was named a permanent member of the RW Smith Executive Committee in 2001 and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2006.
